Welcome to the 7012 – Eco-Friendly meets Modern Day World
If you are looking for something different, you’ve just hit the jack pot here! This modern home was designed by the brilliant Richard Doria and from the outside you’ll think you are about to enter the infamous Valley Ho Resort in Scottsdale. As you walk into the 7012, you will notice the storefront glass along the south entrance, as well as the large, front pivot door constructed with satin black steel frame and 1 ½” glass. Throughout the home, the windows are all dual pane for optimum energy efficiency. Constructed with polished and split face block, steel, and glass, it only makes sense to have polished, natural concrete floors throughout.
To the right is the kitchen – not just your ordinary kitchen – this design is open and very user-friendly. To start, golden maple custom cabinetry and Sugatsune satin nickel hardware accent the colored, polished concrete countertops. The kitchen island sink is by Blanco and the faucet is a Hansgrohe Interaktiv in satin nickel. The breakfast counter has a ¾” glass overhang with stainless detailing with additional cabinets below the breakfast counter, perfect for all those holiday dishes. Let’s not forget the stunning recycled glass back splash called Element Earth, rich in purples and pewter colors – absolutely amazing! The kitchen features GE Monogram appliances, which include a glass cook top, microwave/convection combination, wall oven, and built-in refrigerator. The double refrigerator drawers are a key ingredient for entertaining in this kitchen - great for easy-to-grab food and beverage items. The large, walk-in pantry keeps all dry goods as well as kitchen wares neatly organized, and there is also a tall, pull-out pantry next to the refrigerator for quick access to snacks and cereals.
To the west of the kitchen is a private dining room with soaring ceilings and plenty of room to accommodate your holiday events. You can accent the walls with your favorite artist and use the art lights from the ceiling to add the finishing touch. Your guests will “ooh and ahh” as they enjoy the unique and playful glass bubble chandelier. Dark chocolate, hardwood floors add to the richness of the room and you’ll enjoy the amazing Arizona sunsets from the storefront windows.
As you enter the main living area of the 7012, you will be impressed by the incredible natural light of this modern master piece. The 23’ ceiling is a half arch structure with visible steel beams. The curved roof was designed to be energy efficient by minimizing the direct heat gain. The entire home has a custom wireless audio/visual “smart home” system by HAI. Everything from the internet, to the surround sound, both inside and outside, to the television systems are wireless. This system is a wonderful addition to any event planned at the 7012 or even casual days just hanging out by the pool!
The great room has a cozy natural gas fireplace with a custom slate covered hearth and suspended seating area. An amazing 12’ tall glass wall slides open a large gathering area outside. Also in the great room area is the soon to be famous “purple bar” which can seat up to 8 people comfortably. For your convenience, there is a GE Monogram ice maker, a GE Monogram beverage center, and a 200 bottle wine refrigerator. The round stainless steel sink by Franke is large enough for making any concoction and the Blanco satin nickel faucet adds to the modern flair.
The hall to the west of the main living area, leads you to the “minimalist room” or otherwise known as the master suite. The oversized, maple pivot door with stainless steel handles is an incredible entry into this generous sized room. The 25’ glass wall which opens to the back courtyard will take your breath away.
The master bath is very unique with its split plan design. The countertops are gorgeous colored concrete which goes great with the custom maple cabinetry. The long vanity mirror appears to be floating from the wall and is illuminated from behind with lights. The integrated concrete sinks, with faucets by Cifial and floating water plate, adds a nice modern touch to these areas. All the toilets in this home are eco-friendly Toto toilets with water conversation features as well as a self-closing lid. After a long day, you can relax and enjoy the water jets in the Americh Quantum master bath tub or if you’d rather you can hop in the master shower which is made of large concrete slabs with multiple shower sprays as well as a hand held spout.
And the closet – a dream come true. Designed with custom shelving and a center dresser island, there is plenty of room in this closet for all your seasons of clothing and shoes! On the other side of the minimalist wall is where you’ll discover a private exercise room, equipped with a flat panel connection on the wall to help keep you occupied while working out.
On the other wing of the house you will find the additional bedrooms and a “kid’s retreat.” This room is the only room in the 7012 with a plush multi-colored, salt-n-pepper carpet – very funky and fun!
Each bedroom has its own private bath, unique in design and features integrated v-sinks and concrete countertops. The guest bedroom also has access to a private courtyard with a fireplace and seating area – your guests will never want to leave.
The powder room is to die for and might just be your favorite room in the house! The wall of the bathroom is made up of gorgeous recycled glass, called Disco Inferno, in shades of reds, oranges, purples, and greys. The suspended red concrete counter is out of this world and the vessel sink is an Alape from Germany and has a unique waterfall faucet. The popped out mirror appears to be floating in mid air.
As if all that you’ve read so far wasn’t enough, we’ve yet to check out the backyard and guest house. The custom pool was designed by Distinctive Pools, complete with a Jacuzzi, a pool heater, and, believe it or not, a pool chiller. There are also deck jets which stream water into the pool from either side to add that resort feel we all enjoy. But the most amazing feature of this pool is the completely automatic pool cover. This cover is not only a pool barrier to keep the kids safe around the water, it also helps to keep the pool free of debris when not in use. The outside bar has a full size barbecue, GE Monogram beverage refrigerator, sink, and has plenty of inviting counter space. Speakers feeding the audio have been strategically placed along the pool columns as well as the back patio – great for entertaining.
The pool house, affectionately called 7012.5 – is really more like an apartment studio. It has everything you need including GE Monogram and Kitchenaid appliances in the kitchen and the beautiful Murano Chandelier is included. The bathroom has been adorned with Cararra marble floors, counter tops, and walls. The top mounted sink bowl is perfected by the Philippe Starck Axor faucet. The 7012.5 has stand-alone sound system capabilities, wireless internet, and HAI electronic “smart home” functionality. Your guests will think they are indulging in 5 star quality accommodations.
There is plenty of parking from the 3 car attached garage at the front of the house to the detached 3 stall RV garage with roll-up doors and pull through access door which is located adjacent to the guest house (A/C is available for this garage).
This home hits the jack pot with a unique user-friendly design, energy and environmentally efficient and well folks, its just plain cool. Don’t miss this rare opportunity, call me today for a private tour.
